Distance – 15.6 Miles
Start at the entrance to Royal Victoria Park
Walk along Gravel Walk and follow the path across the park with the Royal Crescent to your left
Cross Marlborough Lane and walk up Cow Lane
Turn left at the top of Cow Lane and walk up to Weston Road
Cross via the Zebra Crossing and follow the path straight ahead up the hill to Sion Hill
At the top turn left and follow Sion Hill round to the right
At the top of Sion Hill turn left onto Summerhill Road
Walk to the end of Summerhill Road and follow the Walled Path down to Primrose Hill
Cross straight ahead and follow the path down to a gate at the bottom
Continue through this gate and follow the path that bears slight right until you get to a gate at the top with a kissing gate to the right

After the kissing gate turn right up the hill and follow the path to the left of the field to a gate
Walk through this gate and follow the path to Primrose Community Woodland
When you reach the tall gate walk straight ahead through the gate up the hill to another tall gate
Walk through this, through another kissing gate into the field with a steep uphill
Follow the path straight up the hill to the top and continue straight ahead to the kissing gate at the other end of the field

Walk through this gate and follow the path along the hill with views over Weston to your left and Beckford’s Tower to your right
Follow this path through two kissing gates and across a large field
When you get to the other end of the field walk through the kissing gate and continue to a wooden gate by Lansdown Playing Fields
Turn left after this gate and follow the path across Lansdown Playing Field towards the racecourse
Cross Lansdown Lane and through a gate and follow the path towards the Racecourse
Turn left when you get to the racetrack and follow the track around to the right with trees to your left
The track then bears to the left, at the end of the trees carry slight left across the field towards the viewing point

Turn left at the viewing point and follow the path to the gate by the end of the racetrack
Follow the Cotswold Way through the gate and around the left edge of the farmer’s field
The path bears right then left and opens up to a view over towards Bristol
Keep following this path through a gate into another field where the path continues down the hill and to the right with the views over Bristol to your left

Follow this path to a gate in the far corner
Through this gate take the path that bears right up the hill to another viewing point with a bench at the top
Walk through the gate to the right and follow the Cotswold Way next to the golf course

The path bears right and along a road through the golf course to woodland
Enter the woodland a turn immediate right and follow the path across a private road to the far corner of the woodland

Turn left and immediate right out of the woodland and follow the path to a kissing gate to the left of a larger gate
Walk through the kissing gate and follow the path with a wall to your left to another kissing gate
Turn right through the kissing gate and cross the field with more views over towards Bristol and Wales until you get to a large wooden gate

Continue to follow the Cotswold Way through the gate and right at the top to follow a private road until you see a gate to your left
Follow the path through the gate to the other end
Walk through the next gate and follow the private road around the corner ahead until you see a sign for the Cotswold Way through the trees
Cross the busy road and follow the path to Sir Bevil Grenville’s Monument

The path continues to the right of the monument and along the edge of the woodland to your left
Follow this path along the left of the farmer’s field to a stone stile
Cross the stile and follow the path down the hill to a gate

Follow the farm track through the gate ignoring any other gates to the right or left until you get to the farm buildings at the bottom of the track

Turn right along the road and follow down the hill
Turn right at the bottom of this road and follow until you see a footpath through a kissing gate to the left
Follow the path through the gate and across a small bridge with a wooden walkway across a bog
Follow the path up the steep hill and across the next six fields
After the last filed follow the farm track to the road and turn right into Woolley

At the row of cottages turn left onto Church Road and follow to a stone stile at the end of the road next to the church
Follow this path through a gate and down the field ahead
At the bottom, cross the brook and follow the field along the bottom to a gate
Walk through gate and follow the path up the next field to the house a the top
The Public Footpath goes through the garden of the house at the top
Walk straight ahead past the church to your left up the hill to the top
Turn right and follow the road to Gloucester Road
Walk along Gloucester Road and follow the path to the left under the bridge to the other side of the A46
Continue round to the left until you see a private road to your right just before the A46
Walk up this road until you see a wooden gate on the right
Walk through this gate and follow the path up the hill to a gate to the right of the field 2/3 of the way up
Follow the path through the gate to the filed ahead and continue up Solsbury Hill
Walk through the wooden gate at the top and continue to the top of Solsbury Hill
Follow the path straight ahead around the top of Solsbury Hill with views over Bath to your right

Walk past the trig point and continue round to the left until you get to the Little Solsbury Hill sign
Walk down the path, through the gate at the bottom and continue to the bottom of the road
Turn left onto Solsbury lane and follow for a short distance until you see a path signposted to the right which is parallel to the road
Follow this path to the gate at the bottom which brings you back onto Solsbury Lane
Continue right down Solsbury Lane then turn right to walk along the path in front of the cottages onto The Batch
Continue to High Street and cross the road and turn right to follow the High Street until you see a Footpath sign to the left
Follow this path down the steps and along a snicket between two hedges
Turn right at the en and cross over the Toll Bridge
After the entrance to Bathampton Mill you will see a gate to the left of a cattle grid
Walk through the gate and continue along the private road to the gate before the next cattle grid
Turn right through the gate then follow the path to the left across the field and under the A46
Walk across the next field the bear left towards the edge and into the next field
Follow the train track to the gate at the far end
Walk through the gate and then turn left to go under the railway bridge
Turn right and up the path onto the canal towpath
Follow the towpath through a tunnel until you see a white gate to the right which will take you into Sydney Gardens
Follow the path down through Sydney Garden and out onto Sydney Place
Turn right to walk towards Great Pulteney Street
Cross the road and walk along Great Pulteney Street and across Pulteney Bridge
Turn right at the end then immediately left onto New Bond Street
Follow the road around then turn left onto Quiet Street
Walk through to Queen Square and then make your way to the far corner and back to the entrance to Royal Victoria Park
