Solsbury Hill

Distance – 2.82 Miles

Start just off the A46 opposite Swainswick (you can park in the lay-by just before you join the A46)

Walk towards the A46 and just before you get there turn right up a private road

Walk up this road until you see a kissing gate in the fence to the right

Go through the gate and start to make your way up Solsbury Hill

About half way up there is a gate to the left, walk through here and continue further up the hill

There is a gate near the top, once you go through this gate make your way to the top of Solsbury Hill

Carry straight on across the top of Solsbury Hill towards a trig point

Bear left after the trig point until you see the Little Solsbury Hill Sign

Walk down to the gate from here and turn left to walk along a private road

At the end of the road walk through a kissing gate into the field ahead following the path

Carry on following the path until you see a gate to the left

Wall through the gate and across the next field towards the Seven Acres Lane

Turn right through there gate and follow the road to a gate on the left

Follow the path through the field to the bottom by a brook

Turn left before the gate and follow the path until you come to Chilcombe Bottom

Walk through the gate to Chilcombe bottom and walk with the pond on your left until you get to a house

Follow the path across the front of the house and between two hedgerows

Keep following this path through the gates until you see steps to your left at the final gate

Walk up these steps and through the gate at the top which brings you back to the foot of Solsbury Hill
